Carmen Mercado is responsible for building and managing industry relationships as part of the Affordable Lending team at Freddie Mac.
She is committed to building awareness of Freddie Mac’s offerings in alignment with the company’s affordable lending and access to credit goals. Her team is charged with educating industry professionals on Freddie Mac’s affordable products, resources, and tools to help existing homeowners and future buyers.
She started her real estate career as a sales agent in 2002, became a broker manager in 2006, and has held many leadership roles in the real estate industry. Amongst her many accomplishments, she was the 2011 President for The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, launched the NAHREP Leadership Academy under her term as president, and was featured by HousingWire as one of the “25 Most Influential Women in the Housing Economy”.
