The Remarkable Rise of Women in the Mortgage Industry
60 minutes
Join us as we celebrate Women’s History Month and reflect on the great strides women have made in the mortgage industry – considering it wasn’t until 1974 that they could get a mortgage without a co-signer!
Hear how Patty Arvielo, CEO of New American Funding, worked her way up from a clerical position at a credit reporting agency to become the co-founder of one of the largest independent mortgage lenders in the nation.
Living by the credo “with risk comes reward,” Patty shares how to grow a mortgage business during challenging economic times while also fostering growth and opportunity for women. Her company has been recognized multiple times as one of the best workplaces in the U.S. by FORTUNE and Great Place to Work®, including Best Workplace for Women.
In this 60-minute moderated discussion, we’ll cover:
- Succeeding in a male-dominated industry
- Overcoming challenges along the way
- Juggling work/life balance
- Paving the way for others through mentorship
- Becoming an ally in the workplace
Afterwards, participate in a Q&A session.
