New to MGIC?
Apply for an MGIC Master Policy number/Customer ID number
If you’re interested in becoming an MGIC customer, contact your MGIC Account Manager or complete a Master Policy application to get the ball rolling.
An MGIC Master Policyholder number or a non-origination Customer ID number entitles you to do business with MGIC and access MGIC resources to help you do so.
Depository institutions eligible to apply for an MGIC Master Policy include:
- Banks
- Credit unions
- Savings banks
- Savings and loans
Mortgage bankers and mortgage brokers are eligible to apply as either:
- A Master Policyholder insured in their own name if they have a minimum $250,000 net worth
- A third-party originator/originator-only insured in an investor’s name
Your MGIC Account Manager will contact you after we receive your application.
Register to use MGIC’s online services
Once you have an MGIC Master Policy number or non-origination Customer ID number, you can sign up for an MGIC user ID and password to use or secure, online services to order MGIC MI and service MI, defaults and claims.
